Tower Hill Captures 5th Straight DIAA Golf Championship

 
Dover, DE (June 3, 2021) The DIAA golf championship was held yesterday at Maple Dale Country Club. Overall, 11 teams competed for the team championship; they included Appoquinimink, Archmere, Saint Mark's, Salesianum, Caesar Rodney, Sussex Academy, Charter School of Wilmington, Tatnall, Conrad, Tower Hill, and Wilmington Friends. Tower Hill won the golf state title for the 5th consecutive year, with a score of 533. Tatnall was the golf championship runner up with a score of 537. Sussex Academy finished in 3rd place with 550. Salesianum was in 4th place with 574 and Archmere rounded out the top 5 with a score of 580.
 
Sarah Lydic (Sussex Academy) was the top finisher with a score of 143. Rounding out the top 10 was: 2) Rylie Heflin (Tower Hill) 147, 3) Matt Homer (Tatnall) 148, 4) Evan Barbin (RLCA) 148, 5) Avery McCrery (Tower Hill) 151, 6) Hannah Lydic (Sussex Acaemy), 7) Jeff Homer (Tatnall) 155, 8) Sawyer Brockstedt (Sussex Academy) 156 9) Brendan Harrington (Archmere) 157, 10) Henry Stone (Tower Hill) 157.
