
Dover, DE (March 13, 2021) - In last night's Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Girls Basketball Championship, #1 St. Elizabeth (15-0) took home the state title after defeating #3 Sanford School (16-2), 47-45. In a very close game, St. Elizabeth scored the go ahead point to seal the championship with 24.9 seconds left. This is St. Elizabeth's sixth (6th) state title, also winning the championship in 2013, 2007, 1985, 1982, and 1979.
Boys Finals Information:
#1 Sanford (15-2) and #6 Smyrna (19-0) will play for the DIAA Boys Basketball State Championship today at 4:30 p.m. These two teams last met in the semifinals of the 2018 DIAA Boys Basketball Championship.

The DIAA Basketball Championship which is being hosted at Dover High School, will allow two fans per player from each home and away team.
