  • Business students to compete in national conference

    This spring about 70 middle level students and more than 100 secondary students have qualified to attend the 2021 BPA National Virtual Leadership Conference from April 26 – May 9. There, students will have the opportunity to participate in competitive events, BPA Academy and college and career exhibits as well as network with business professionals.

  • Delaware joins national group to study teacher certification requirements

    Delaware will join a national consortium to study how to change teacher certification and licensure requirements to better attract teacher candidates. The Delaware Department of Education partnered with the state’s institutes of higher education and several school districts and charter schools in its application to join the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE)’s Consortium for Research-Based and Equitable Assessments (CREA).

  • Educators of color and linguistically diverse educators recruitment fair planned for March 11

    The Delaware Department of Education invites aspiring educators and other community partners to join a virtual recruitment fair for educators of color and linguistically diverse educators. The recruitment fair will provide information on certification requirements, job openings and community involvement opportunities for diverse educators interested in working in Delaware schools, including current students as well as those interested in changing careers to work in Delaware schools.
