Safe and Supportive Environment (SSE): Bullying
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), "school violence is youth violence that occurs on school property, on the way to or from school or school-sponsored events, or during a school-sponsored event". Bullying can threaten students' physical and emotional safety at school and can negatively impact their ability to learn.
Bullying of a student can impair the student's physical and emotional health and negatively affect learning. The best way to address bullying is to stop it before it starts.
