Multilingual Learners

  • The Delaware Department of Education is dedicated to ensuring that every Delaware student, including multilingual learners (often referred to as English learners), attain the highest level of academic success and language proficiency.  We foster equitable access to rigorous standards and excellent educators and believe all educators are teachers of language and literacy.  We value the assets that our learners bring to enrich our schools and our state.  We engage the community to support every student’s educational and social-emotional needs thereby leading them to success in college, career, and life.
