Data Management and Governance

  • Welcome to the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) Data Management and Governance site. DDOE produces actionable data to inform our schools, teachers, parents, and students about educational progress. These data serve as a critical foundation for education-related decisions made by school officials, policymakers, and the general public.

DDOE supports accountability and transparency in education data in compliance with all federal and state standards and laws, including FERPA. While the data used by DDOE and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) is comprehensive, the data made available to the public is protected to avoid unintended disclosure of personally identifiable information.

To assist education stakeholders, DDOE has provided extensive non-personally identifiable data about each district and school on Delaware’s Report Card Website. This data includes assessment, fiscal, employment, and school-level data reported to DDOE annually. Before requesting data, please check the reports and data publicly available by clicking the Public Data link on the left navigation screen. All data requests are managed through an online portal, which can be accessed by clicking the Request Data link on the left navigation screen. Please note that all data requests go through an internal review process.
