    The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) is committed to transparency and openness. Persons submitting requests under Delaware’s Freedom of Information Act (29 Del.C. §§ 10001 et seq) may use the State of Delaware’s online FOIA request form.

    All FOIA requests must be in writing, and must adequately describe the records sought in sufficient detail to enable DDOE to locate such records with reasonable effort. The requesting party must be as specific as possible when requesting records. To assist DDOE in locating the requested records, DDOE may request that the requesting party provide additional information such as the types of records, dates, parties to correspondence, and subject matter of the requested records. Please note that FOIA requests delivered by regular mail may be delayed for security screening. We therefore encourage submission of requests by email or the online FOIA request form.
