Nomination Statement

“Daughter of Nemishh & Shilpa Mehta of Bear. Shreya is currently ranked at the top of her graduating class with a 4.66 GPA. She is Senior Class Vice President and founding President of the AHS Healthy Eating and Living Club. Shreya is a member of the National Honor Society, Theater, and Captain of the Tennis Team. She is a participant of Delaware Youth Leadership Network Scholar, Delaware Girls State and Governor’s School for Excellence. Shreya has volunteered at the Delaware Aerospace Education Foundation and Food Bank of Delaware. Shreya will be attending the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.”

My motivation has been rooted most strongly in my own personal drive for happiness. For me, it doesn’t matter much what the details of my future will be, provided that I am content in my life and with the decisions I have made. In order to secure a future like that, I have always pushed myself, both academically and socially. I choose to learn from my failures, and I am inspired by those who use their challenges to propel them.
