Nomination Statement

“Moses Martinez is the son of Moises and Elisa Martinez. Moses is a senior in the College Scholars program at Milford High School. Moses is a hard working and determined individual. He is ranked number two in his class, with a 4.72 cumulative grade point average. Moses is very involved in school and surrounding community. He is President of Varsity Club and National Honor Society. Moses has also participated in Congressional Youth Delegation, Student Government, Cross Country, Winter Track and Track. While he has not made his college decision yet, Moses plans to major in Political science.”

Knowledge is power. In order to live up to this statement, I have taken a different approach to high school. Why look at what I’m learning as a grade, when I could be looking at it as a tool? I have learned to take advantage of everything that is given in life, and I have been given the gift of learning. My drive comes from the desire to be knowledgeable, and in turn to be powerful.
