• Michael C. Ferguson Achievement Award

    Merit-based awards for eighth and tenth grade students in Delaware district and charter schools who demonstrate superior performance on the Delaware Comprehensive Assessment System (DCAS) in math and reading.
     
    For 2015, the last year that the Micahel C. Ferguson was awarded, awards were based on students in Delaware district and charter schools who demonstrated superior performance on the Delaware Smarter Assessment Test.

  • CLAIM YOUR MICHAEL C. FERGUSON AWARD

    • Create a Delaware Higher Education Office (DHEO)  Student Account  and enter your college enrollment for the current academic year
    • Approximately 2-3 weeks after you first create your DHEO Student Account your Michael C. Ferguson award will be available to claim in your account
    • If your Michael C. Ferguson award is not available to claim on your DHEO Student Account after three weeks please reach out to our office at dheo@doe.k12.de.us and we can research it for you

    How long does it take for the payment to get to my school?

    • Once the payment request is created, your school must verify your enrollment.
    • It takes 3-4 weeks from the time enrollment is verified for funds to reach your school.
