    Course #26155: DPAS II for Administrators Boot Camp: Training to Evaluate Principals, Assistant Principals, and District Leaders - PDMS

    This workshop is mandatory for administrators (and "credentialed observers") who wish to become credentialed for use of DPAS II for Principals, Assistant Principals, and District Leaders.  The training will cover topics such as DPAS II policy and processes, use of framework, and providing feedback.  Administrators must attend and successfully complete Boot Camp prior to beginning the observation process.

    Training Dates:

    • Session #4: December 8th
    • Session #5: February 22nd

     

    Course #25970: Educator Effectiveness In-Person Workshop Series-PDMS

    This series is designed to provide participants an opportunity to take a “deep dive” into several “high impact” indicators of effective teacher performance. During each session, participants will develop an understanding of what the indicator looks like when used effectively and learn key strategies to help develop and/or refine the indicator. This series is recommended for school-based teams to gain a common understanding and support building level professional development. Individual participants are welcome to attend as well.

    • Engaging Students in Meaningful and Challenging Instruction: Thursday, January 18, 2018
    • Questioning and Discussion Techniques: Thursday, March 1, 2018

    Course #25968: DPAS II Boot Camp Training for Teacher/Specialist System-PDMS

    Boot Camp is mandatory for all new administrators

    DPAS II Boot Camp Training for Teacher/Specialists System is a mandatory, foundational four-day training for all new administrators to become credentialed for use of DPAS II for Teachers/Specialists. An assessment will be administered online following completion of the training. New administrators must attend all Boot Camp training days and successfully complete the assessment in order to credentialed. This training is also highly recommended for current evaluators in order to refresh their skills.

    The four-day training is facilitated by The Danielson Group and is broken down into the following sessions:

    • Day One: Policy, Processes and Goal Setting (Component V)
    • Day Two and Three: Observation and Evidence Alignment (Components I-IV)
    • Day Four: Professional Conversations: Conferencing and Feedback

    Boot Camps for 2017-2018 will be offered on the following dates:

    • December 4-7, 2017
    • February 5 - 8, 2018
    • April 16 - 19, 2018

     

    Course #25025: DPAS II Credentialing Assessment for Teacher/Specialist System-PDMS

    You must successfully pass the Credentialing Assessment in order to gain certification.

     

    Course #25969: DPAS II-Danielson’s Prerecorded Calibration Webinar Series-PDMS

    This series is HIGHLY recommended for any evaluator of the teacher/specialist system. This series of five webinars will provide participants the opportunity to practice and refine their skills with collecting and aligning evidence.  Participants will view, collect, align and rate evidence.  Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the webinar and a team of Danielson experts will follow up with responses. Sessions are prerecorded to provide flexibility. Participants will receive log in information within a week from registering. All webinars will be available during the weeks listed below.

    Course #25977: DPAS II Teacher/Specialist System Support In-Person Workshop-Connecting Evaluation Feedback to Quality Recommendations and Professional Development-PDMS

    Thursday, May 10, 2018

    This workshop will guide participants through the steps in the evaluation process that lead up to final recommendations.  Participants will discover how to use educators’ ratings to prioritize and write recommendations that will improve performance to the next level. Participants will discuss and generate ideas on how to use their evaluation data at both the individual and school level to plan professional development and/or link educators to resources. This is recommended for all district and school level administrators/evaluators.

    This series is designed to provide a “mini” deep dive topics discussed during the in-person workshops. These webinars can be used as either a preview or review of the in-person workshops or for participants who are unable to attend the in-person session.  Sessions are prerecorded to provide flexibility. Participants will receive log in information within a week from registering. All webinars will be available during the weeks listed below.

    Training Dates and Topics are as follows:

    • Questioning and Discussion Techniques: January 25th - February 22nd

    Course #25980: DPAS II Teacher/Specialist System Support Prerecorded Webinar-Observing in the Special Education Classroom-PDMS

    November 22nd - December 21st

    This online webinar will discuss what instructional strategies may serve as evidence for the DPAS II rubric when observing special education teachers. This is recommended for all district and school level administrators/evaluators. This session is prerecorded to provide flexibility. Participants will receive log in information within a week from registering. The webinars will be available during the weeks listed above.
