Public Meetings: Career & Technical Education

  • Career and College Readiness through Career and Technical Education

On March 17, 2015, Luke Rhine, Director, CTE and STEM Office, Delaware Department of Education presented at the Delaware Digital Learning Conference. To see his presentation, please view the link below.

In 2020 nearly 65% of U.S. jobs will require some level of post-secondary education.  Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways deliver academic, technical, and workplace content in a seamless, non-duplicative series of courses leading to industry recognized credentials, work-based learning and early college experiences.  Participants in this workshop will explore how Delaware’s model for CTE supports the development of both state-led and locally developed programs leading to career advancement and continuing education for all students.

  • Delaware Computer Science Standards Review Meetings

To support the computer science standards development by the Delaware Computer Science Teachers Association (DE-CTSA), this meeting will build from the Delaware CTSA discussion to review the theory behind the national CTSA K-12 Computer Science Standards and gather feedback on grade band specific standards.
