Delaware State Board of Education Update for Career & Technical Education
On Thursday, June 18th, the State Board of Education received an update from Luke Rhine, DOE Director of Career Technology Education, on the Pathways to Prosperity Initiative and new programs launched as a result of the revisions made to Career Technical Education initiatives.
Delaware State Plan for Career & Technical Education

Career and College Readiness through Career and Technical Education

In 2020 nearly 65% of U.S. jobs will require some level of post-secondary education. Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways deliver academic, technical, and workplace content in a seamless, non-duplicative series of courses leading to industry recognized credentials, work-based learning and early college experiences. Participants in this workshop will explore how Delaware’s model for CTE supports the development of both state-led and locally developed programs leading to career advancement and continuing education for all students.
