I received an email about the Scholarship Incentive Program (ScIP), what do I do?
Follow the instructions in the email that you received from DHEO. If you are graduating from a Delaware public high school, you only need to log on to your account and submit your enrollment information. We will collect your Cumulative GPA information directly from your school.
If you are graduating from a private, parochial, or homeschool you must forward a copy of your unofficial transcript to dheo@doe.k12.de.us and add your anticipated college enrollment to your DHEO Student Account by the scholarship deadline.
If you are a returning college student, you must forward a copy of your unofficial transcript to dheo@doe.k12.de.us and add your anticipated college enrollment to your DHEO Student Account by the scholarship deadline.
How do I create a Student Account?
Click on the link Student Account and follow the directions on this page to create a Student Account with the Delaware Higher Education Office
I can't create a new account.
You may already have an account if you applied for scholarships previously. You can email the office at dheo@doe.k12.de.us and include:
- Your Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Email address
We can then determine if you have an existing account.
I can't remember my password.
Click the link to access your Student Account
On the Log On screen, click the link Forgot Password
Select Student
Enter your Username (the email you used to log on before or when you created your account)
Enter the last 4 digits of your SSN
A new password will be emailed to you
I don't know what email I used to set up my account.
If you received an email notification from our office, then use that email address. If that doesn't work, you may email the office at dheo@doe.k12.de.us and include your Full Name, Date of Birth, and email address and we can determine if you have an existing account.
I can't find my high school in the list.
If your school is not found in the list, please select "Other" so you can continue with your application. Schools are listed in alphabetical order.
I can only enter one school for enrollment but I am not sure which school I am attending.
Because scholarship awards are based, in part, on enrollment eligibility, you may only enter one college in the enrollment section of the student account. To change your college enrollment you will need to email dheo@doe.k12.de.us to request the enrollment information be changed.
If your application is specific to one college/university and you change your enrollment prior to the scholarship being reviewed and awarded, it may impact your eligibility for that specific scholarship. Please review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship you wish to apply by visiting www.delawaregoestocollege.org/state-aid .
I want to apply for the Governor's Education Grant but can't find the application.
There is no Governor's Education Grant for 2017 or 2018 at this time.
When will my scholarship payment be sent to my college?
Scholarship payments are not processed until the school/college/university verifies your enrollment. The Higher Education office contacts the school/college/university directly to request this information. Once this information is received, payments can be processed. It takes 4 - 6 weeks once verification is received for the payment to reach the school. You can log on to your student account to see the status of your payment. If you have more specific questions about your payment, please email dheo@doe.k12.de.us and include your Full Name, Email address, and Date of Birth.
