Major initiatives and investments:

  • Southern Regional Education Board’s High Schools That Work school improvement framework and key practices
  • Professional Learning Communities with emphases of teacher collaboration, common assessments, analyzing student data and addressing student instructional needs
  • More rigorous educational opportunities for students, including dual enrollment opportunities and expansion of AP classes and STEM offerings
  • Open access to students for CTE and advanced academic offerings
  • Targeted academic support for students including increased student support during and outside of the regular school day through the TECHADEMIC Coaching program and daily scheduling practices   
  • TECHADEMIC Coaching program expanded to provide assistance and support for students enrolled in AP courses and Summer AP Acceleration Seminars implemented to accelerate students’ preparation for AP courses
  • Aligned and rigorous curricula for all courses and programs
  • Development and delivery of common assessments for courses
  • End-of-pathway assessments for all career-technical majors and full student participation in career- and college-ready assessments
