Delaware Workforce Investment Board (DWIB)
Individual Training Account (ITA) Grants

As part of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), the Delaware Workforce Investment Board offers Individual Training Accounts (ITA) to help pay for the cost of approved education training programs.

You may be eligible for the ITA Grant if you

  • are a dislocated worker.
  • have been laid off and are unlikely to return to your previous occupation.
  • are out of work because your employer went out of business.
  • are no longer self-employed because you went out of business due to the economic downturn.
  • are currently employed, but are under the WIA Family Income Guideline thresholds*.

Eligibility does not guarantee a grant award or the amount of the grant. Case managers also consider experience, education, skills, etc.

You can learn more about the ITA grant program, eligibility requirements, and application procedures by speaking with a case manager at one of the Delaware Department of Labor One Stop Service Centers below.
