T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood®

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood provides scholarships and supports for CDA, coursework leading toward an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, and the Early Childhood Education Director's Certificate. The project began in 1990 in North Carolina by Child Care Services Association to address three workforce issues: low education, low compensation, and high turnover. Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H.) has been replicated in 22 states and is administered in Delaware by The Family & Workplace Connection. All T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood scholarships link increased education to increased compensation and requires recipients and sponsoring early childhood programs to share the cost.  For more information go to The Delaware Association for the Education of Young Children, webpage  www.daeyc.org/teach.html
