Designers who submit units for DMUG will be assigned a peer review coach.  A coach, the first line of defense against poorly designed instructional units, offers advice and feedback to the designer for improvement.  If the coach feels the unit meets all of the criteria for an exemplary unit, the unit is passed on to jurors who decide whether the unit is aligned to standards and rigorous enough to be used statewide.  A coach and juror are anonymous to the designer because this system works by email and is all accomplished online.  Based upon the feedback of the coach, the unit can and should be revised by the designer.  There are multiple opportunities for revision within the IUPS.  It’s a collaborative process.
