Overview and General Information

DOE is offering an Assessment Center Workshop for all interested first, second, and third year candidates. Read all of the information in this section, including the link to the registration form.

The workshop is on Saturday, March 1, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.

The workshop will be held in Conference Rooms A and B at the John W. Collette Education Resource Center, 35 Commerce Way, Dover. Directions to the Collette Center are at http://www.doe.k12.de.us/aboutdoe/location/default.shtml. Once at this site, click on “Directions” under “Auxiliary Office.”

The doors to the Collette Center will close at the start of the workshop. Educators are advised to plan accordingly so that they can attend the entire workshop, beginning to conclusion.

Only educators with all required materials and a confirmed registration in-hand will be allowed to attend the workshop.

Before the Workshop, educators are to have completed the Assessment Center Tutorial, available at http://www.nbpts.org/for_candidates/assessment/prepare_for_your_appoint

Laptop computer (not required but extremely helpful and strongly recommended)

Educators are expected review the required documents before attending the Workshop.

The purpose of the Assessment Center Workshop is to help candidates prepare to take the assessments in a timed and computerized environment and to provide strategies for success.
