Gregory B. Coverdale
Greg is a product of the public school system in the State of Delaware, attending schools in the Colonial School District from K-12. After High School, he decided to gain some formal corporate experience in Banking. He worked at First USA Bank in the Customer Service department for 11 months prior to attending Delaware State University in 1995. In 1999 Greg graduated from Delaware State University with a BS in Business Administration. After graduation, Greg joined a consulting firm based out of New York City and started on a project at Chase Manhattan Bank in Wilmington, Delaware. After one year Chase offered Greg a full-time position in their Bank operations department. In the year 2000, Greg passed the General Securities License Examination (Series 7) and was recruited to Morgan Stanley. After working in a Financial Advisory capacity at Morgan Stanley and TD Waterhouse, Greg joined Merrill Lynch in 2003. At Merrill Lynch, Greg specializes in Investment Management and Income Planning. In 2008 Greg became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Greg has sat on various boards for Non-Profit organizations including the Delaware Nature Society, The Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts, and the Brandywine YMCA. Greg is married to Tonjia and has a 4-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter. Greg was appointed by Governor Jack Markell in 2010.
