 * New* 2010-2011 CTE Course Approval Forms

View forms required for new CTE course and pathway approval, including evidence of Regulation 502 curriculum alignment with state standards.  All districts and charter schools must submit appropriate forms to DDOE in order to obtain funding for new CTE courses.  Complete and submit forms for all new 2010-2011 CTE courses by November 20, 2009.  All courses requested must be part of a state approved CTE pathway. 

 * New* 2010-2011 CTE Innovative Career Pathway RFP forms   Proposals due by close of business November 20,2009

View RFP and related forms for Innovative Career Pathway competitive grants.  The purpose of the grant is to develop new or enhance existing CTE pathways.  Funds for this grant opportunity are provided through the Carl. D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006.  In FY 2010, a total of $200,000 will be awarded statewide.

Unit Count Report
View career and technical enrollment reports, based on September 30 unit count, by technical program area, district, or school.  Reports include enrollment, Division I minutes, and Division I unit totals, course funding levels, and Division II minutes and units generated, by course code (CIP number).

State Approved Career and Technical Education Courses
View the complete list of state approved Career and Technical Education courses by CIP number, course name, pathway, and funding level.  Approved course list reports can be viewed by district, school, and/or pathway area for the current and previous five school years.

  • CTE Pathways by Career Cluster Provides a list of state approved CTE Pathway Codes by Career Cluster and the following Delaware DOE CTE program areas: Agriscience, Business Finance and Marketing, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Skilled and Technical Sciences.

  • CTE CIP codes – Pathways – Cluster Crosswalk  Provides a list of state-approved CTE courses by CIP code, career cluster and funding level.  The list of courses is cross-walked to related CTE Pathways.  The list may be of assistance when scheduling courses for students who have selected a CTE pathway as part of their graduation requirements.

Career & Technical Student Organizations
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) promote career excellence, leadership, and citizenship.  The Delaware Department of Education requires Career and Technical Student Organizations to be an integral part of a high quality education program.  Schools receiving Career and Technical Education funds must support an active student organization.

Delaware Recommended Curriculum
The Career and Technical Education Standards Teacher Resource Guide for Recommended Curriculum Development presents the content standards, career pathways, and proficiency expectations for the four career and technical content areas: AgriScience; Business, Finance and Marketing; Family and Consumer Sciences; and Technology Education.
